Chattisham All Saints and St Margaret The church seems to reflect some of this isolation from the outside world. There even seems to be some disagreement over the strange, tautological name. Some sites refer to it as "All Saints and St. Margarets". British Heritage call it just "All Saints The church dates from the early 14th century. The tower was repaired in 1772; its height being reduced by about 2m and crenulated. Some less than expert restoration was effected in 1869, leaving the exterior a patchwork of flint, rendering and brickwork. The tower has two windows in the west wall: a belfry opening and a lower 19th century window in the decorated style. There are small belfry openings in the north and south walls. There appear to be two porches on the south wall but the eastern most is a transept chapel. Also, despite the presence of six buttresses, the church has a definite list to the south-east. Homemade magnetic cache containing only log
please bring a tweezer and a pen.
