Geocache Description:

The Lost Cache of Lytle Creek would really be lost if not for our GPS. The fog was rolling in and the sun was setting as we stashed this cache. The visibility was less than ten feet and the sky was getting darker by the second. This is a nice little hike that gives you great mountain views, steep canyons, a rushing creek, a decent vertical workout, and peaceful solitude all wrapped up in an hour and a half journey.

The only clues you will get are the cache’s name and the Middle Fork Road. The road in is curently drivable by high clearance vechiles, it is a bit bumpy and a rough ride but that’s half the fun of getting away from the crowds. A USFS Wilderness Adventure Pass is required.

The cache is in a ammo can. The cache is well hidden and you will need to be within a few feet to see it. The cache contains a first aid kit, a $10 blockbuster video rental card, an unopened triple pack of 1985 Topps Baseball cards, a flashlight, a bracelet, a bendable Bullwinkle toy, a bike tire patch kit, some hand warmers, and finally a silver ring of a frog wearing a cowboy hat and boots. Sherrie (Pokey) would like to be kept updated of the frog’s travels.

Have Fun
