Raven Run Nature Sanctuary is 470 acres dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Kentucky River Palisades and early Kentucky history. For the protection of the flora and fauna activities are limited to the 8 ½ mile trail system. Visitors are asked to hike only on marked trails. Besides all the plants and wildlife, numerous remnants of 19th century settlers can be found throughout the Raven Run. Water is available at the sanctuary, but there are no water fountains at the nature center or on the trails. In hot weather please remember to bring containers of water. We request all visitors park in the designated parking area. Everyone who visits Raven Run must first sign-in at the nature center, located at the beginning of the trail system (approximately 1/8 of a mile from the parking lot).
