Geocache Description:

A cache on the beautiful wild mountainous landscape of Kallikratis Plateau.

The plateau is actually home to shepherds and their flocks of sheep, specially in the summer. For years the visitors got the impression that they had come to another, forgotten world. Only recently the roads have been paved and small businesses have started operating in the area.

Hiking and exploring the plaeau is an interesting experience. There are small churches, the old village of Kallikratis, beautiful surroundings, fields and hundreds of sheep!

The cache is hidden by the small church of Agios Panteleimon. It's a small plastic container with a logbook, a pen and some goodies to trade.

Please, hide it safely again!


Μια κρύπτη στο άγριας ομορφιάς ορεινό τοπίο του Οροπεδίου του Καλλικράτη.

Το οροπέδιο είναι τόπος βοσκών και των κοπαδιών τους, ιδίως τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες. Για χρόνια, ο επισκέπτης που έρχονταν εδώ είχε την εντύπωση ότι έφτανε σε έναν άλλο, ξεχσμένο κόσμο. Τα τελευταία μόλις χρόνια ασφαλτοστρώθηκαν οι δρόμοι και δημιουργήθηκαν μικρές επιχειρήσεις στην περιοχή.

Το περπάτημα και η εξερεύνηση του οροπεδίου είναι μια ενδιαφέρουσα εμπειρία. Υπάρχουν εκκλησάκια, το ιστορικό χωριό Καλλικράτης, όμορφα τοπία, χωράφια και εκατοντάδες πρόβατα!

Η κρύπτη είναι τοποθετημένη κοντά στο εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Παντελεήμονα. Είναι ένα μικρό ταπεράκι με σημειωματάριο, στυλό και λίγα ψιλοπράγματα για ανταλλαγή.
