CHESTER- Chesterfield County “The Series”
CHESTER is a census designated place in Chesterfield County with a population of 23,930 residents. There are 6,720 single family homes, 1,517 multi-family units, 58 duplexes and 656 mobile homes (in mobile home parks) in the community. CHESTER’s boundaries include Route 288 to the north, Great Branch Creek and Branders Bridge Rd to the west, Route 95 to the east and Tinsberry Creek to the south. The newly renovated downtown Chester Village Green area has a mix of restaurants, businesses, homes and apartments. On September 10, 2008 during construction a building collapsed in Chester Village Green that made national headlines. Village Green hosts many Chester events. CHESTER’s original “downtown” was a stop for the Richmond and Petersburg Railroad and the Chester Station was the scene of a battle during the American Civil War. Wrexham Hall is said to be haunted by “the Lady in Red” one of the most famous spirits in Chester. The CHESTER community is home to three county parks the Chester Linear Trail, the Lowes Soccer Complex and the undeveloped Kiwanis park site. The CHESTER community has a higher than average emergency call rate for Police and matches the average for Fire and EMS services. The traffic crash rate is higher than the county rate.
** Cache is a black bison tube micro so BYOP. This cache is located along Chesterfield County's Chester Linear Trail Park which is an awesome walking trail accessible to all. Signs say park is closed from 800pm to 600am. There are 2 parking waypoints listed with #1 being the longer of the two but there are other caches in this park and its great exercise. You may be able to park closer on side roads. Use your best geostealth and replace the cache as found.
