This cache has been devised by Caleb and the rest of us working together as a family. Hopefully you will enjoy wandering around the village of Gorey. We had a couple of lovely sunny afternoons to plan this out and think of some interesting features - a lot of others we could have chosen were left out in the end.
Stage 1
You will find yourself at the Millennium Stone. You need to find on it the surname of the Connetable of Grouville at the time the stone was placed. The middle letter of the Connetable's surname is letter number AB in the alphabet.
Nearby you will find a plaque giving information about a particular place. The illustration used was created by an artist whose dates are 18CD - 18EF.
Stage 2
Caution - how many ducks are crossing? The answer is G.
Stage 3
You will find an inscription in French. The date is 18HJ.
Stage 4
This datesone commemorates a marriage in 19KL.
Stage 5
This datesone commemorates a marriage in 17MN.
Stage 6
You will find a milestone. The number on the stone is P.
Calculate (D + G + J + (A x B x C)) x ((E x F) - H). Place this three digit number after N 49 11.
Calculate (M + N) x (K + L + P). Place this three digit number after W 002 02.
You now have the coordinates of the final cache.
FTF prize is a travel bug ready for you to activate and send off. Please dip it into this cache before taking it elsewhere.
