Geocache Description:

The River Run Series brings you along the Hoosic River in the west end of North Adams. There is a trail in some places, and in other places the trail is hard to find. It is not a maintained trail and there are fallen trees across it in several places.

This cache is placed along the river. There are some pretty views of the river as you walk along the way and a lot of evidence that beavers also like this area! While placing the cache I even saw a few of my students running along the river's edge and there was some evidence that people may use this area to "hang out" at.

This cache was named because of the "hobby horse" wedged between the branches of a fallen tree hanging over the river's edge.  It appears to be trying to make a quick getaway when you are looking toward the river from GZ.

When I was placing this series "Spring" in the Berkshires was just starting to settle in, and there were many places where the mud was pretty bad. There was also a stream from melting snow running across the trail into the river, so I suggest you wear water-proof boots if there's been rain recently.

There is plenty of parking (if there are no games being played) at the sports complex lot. For safety reasons, please use these parking coordinates.

I hope you enjoy the views and the caches
