Fammarps Champinjonodling i Halmstad var en av Europas modernaste odlingar.
Antal odlingar på 70-talet var 10 och total svampskörd ca 3000 ton per år, varav
2000 ton konserverades. Varje odlare gjorde egen kompost.
1975 importerades mycket billiga polska champinjoner, det var den betalning
Sverige kunde få för industrins export av maskinutrustningar till Polen. Efter detta
år fanns endast en odling kvar, Fammarps, och ca 400 arbetstillfällen försvann.

Fammarps Mushroom Cultivation in Halmstad was one of the most modern cultures.
Number of farms in the 70's was 10 and total mushroom yield about 3,000 tons per year,of which 2,000 tons were preserved.
Each grower did own compost. 1975 imports very cheap Polish mushrooms,it was the payment Sweden could have on industry export of machine equipment to Poland. After this year, there was only one culture left, Fammarps, and about 400 jobs were lost.
