Geocache Description:

This is a park and grab on the property of the Steam Railroading Institute. The south gate is almost always closed, but if the north gate is closed, you'll have to come back later. Sorry.

If you don’t understand the cache name, you’re just not getting enough trains. We can fix that!

The Steam Railroading Institute is the home of Pere Marquette 1225, the largest operating steam locomotive in Michigan: 16 feet tall and 101 feet long, with a combined engine and tender weight of 400 tons. She uses one ton of coal and 1800 gallons of water every 12 miles, and at 3000 horsepower she’s capable of pulling 100 freight cars at 60 MPH. Although the word awesome tends to be overused, it really does apply here. This mighty machine, built in 1941, was the model for the steam locomotive in the movie The Polar Express, and her sounds were recorded for the making of that film.

In addition to holding small swag and log pages, the container will explain the cache's title for you.

Congratulations to cartans for FTF within one hour of this cache's publication!
