Bob Marley's long lost "brother". A short walk up Lookout Rock with views over the town of Bicheno.
There are two small hills in Bicheno offering great views over the town & out to sea. Whalers Lookout is one & is well worth the visit. It has a cache on it too. Then there's this one - Lookout Rock. This cache replaces one that has been archived for some years. Leave from either of the trailheads listed for the short but not too strenuous walk. Unlike Whalers, there are no formal lookout platforms but if you wander around a bit you can find some great views over the town. Although there is a defined track from both starting points to the general area around GZ, please take care when approaching the cache as there are steep drop-offs.
Cache is a 500ml container with room for a few swaps. On placement it contained: log book & pencil, Freycinet Coast hatpin collectible, blue marble &, as this is the first cache we have placed, it was also the launching point for our first TB.
