Riverside Treehouse Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

L Frank: Went over and retrieved the outside container. It was just a matter of time that this happened since they cleared the area of brush, exposing the cache from the nearby trail. I was able to find a pencil, remove the hinges and the magnet. I'm elated. The rest is in the trash can. I will not use this spot again. Someone else can put a micro here if they wish. Thanks to all that found it. It was a good run!

Geocache Description:

When we were growing up, we would get some old scrap lumber, some nails of all sizes and some were used and bent. We would find us a good tree out in the woods, nail some boards on the trunk so we could climb up to the big limbs. There we would build our treehouse. Since the lumber was used, the nails were bent, and the hand saw was dull, it did not look like much, but it was our treehouse. There were usually some rules and restrictions that applied, but those usually faded away over time.

This is a simple cache made to look like one of my usual containers with a little sight humor thrown in. Some may have to climb the tree to get to it. Pulling on the rope should get you inside the treehouse. Feel free to sit on the roof and view the Mississippi River if you like. Don't jump up and down on the roof though, it may not hold some. Have fun and tell us some of your treehouse stories in your log.
