This cache is placed in Spylaw Wood just off the Tyne Esk Trail situated between Edgehead and Mayfield.
The Tyne Esk Trail is 60 miles of horse trails comprising four circular routes, each between 10 – 15 miles long. Explore a wide variety of glorious Midlothian countryside and take in sites of historic and natural interest.
Although this cache is placed just a short distance off the Trail i'm not sure these woods are suitable for horses.
Trail can be muddy underfoot if recent weather has been poor so wear suitable footwear.
