Oni Beach ("Honey Beach" in English) is a beautiful deserted beach on Nananu-i-ra Island. It is an amazing place to snorkel and a nice picnic spot.
Oni Beach is on the north end of Nananu-i-ra Island and accessible either over land by hilltop trail from any of the backpacker/cottage resorts on Nananu-i-ra (Bethams Cottages, McDonald's or Safari Lodge), or by boat from the main island of Viti Levu. Boats to Oni Beach can be hired at resorts on Nananu-i-ra or nearby resorts on Viti Levu (Volivoli Beach Resort or Wananavu Resort), or from Ellington Wharf.
The cache is inland from the beach near an ancient water well, likely the only source of fresh water on the island in the old days. There is a semi-overgrown trail from the beach (near the biggest trees) and also from the hilltop.
The terrain rating is really a 1.5 if approaching from the beach, and 3 if approaching over the hill. If the trail has not been cleaned recently, the last 40 meters is a little tougher.
Be sure to snorkel the reef edge if you have snorkeling gear - it is worth the swim out to it.

This is a view of the hilltop trail:

The hilltop trails can be seen on this Google map:

The cache was placed and is maintained by a nearby Fiji resident.
