This geocache is dedicated to Brook Berringer, who played football for UNL. He was killed in a plane crash on April 18, 1996. He loved to come to the Kissinger Basin Wildlife Management Area to hunt so when Kissinger's donated the land for a wildlife area they also dedicated it to Brook Berringer. Brook Berringer was a backup quarterback for Tommy Fraiser and helped lead Nebraska to a National Title. He was expected to be selected in the NFL Draft but died two days before the draft.
There is parking right beside the cache and could be found any time of the year.
