Geocache Description:

Tuesday June 18th, 2013, 7pm to 830pm. Open to the public, families, adults and seniors are all welcome to attend. We will be in the basement hall at Beverly United Church from 7pm to 830pm. This facility is not wheelchair accessable, half a flight of stairs is involved to get to the basement.

This event is part of the summer long CARS (Cache And Release Summer) 2013 Poker. Show up at the event and get your pair of playing cards. Play your hand on September 8, 2013 GC48T4K

This event is for....

  • What's Geocaching? you mean you do what?
  • Geocaching 101 expanded, the stuff you dont see/learn on youtube
  • new cachers to meet some experienced cachers
  • new cachers to hopefully absorb some knowledge from the experienced cachers
  • experienced cachers to share with new cachers, maybe scare them with horror stories too!
  • work on puzzle caches, & compare answers, hopefully right answers
  • Drop off, pick up, and discover Travel Bugs and other trackables. Don't know what those are, no worries we'll share the secrets with you!
  • sign log book, count it as a find!
  • geocaching families who want to meet up with other geocaching families
  • maybe you've never attended a geocaching event but want to see what one is all about.
  • Not sure what all these acronyms mean, we'll share. TFTC, SL, TNLN, FTF, 5/5 PQ, DNF, Field Note, 81 grid, 365, and many more.

Girl Guides of Canada members will complete the requirements needed to earn their Geocaching Alberta Challenge. No badges will be available for purchase at this event. Scouts and other youth groups who wish to attend need to contact CO.

Coffee and Juice will be served.

Assistance is needed from experienced cachers to make this event a success! Such as;
  • Bring in your GPS devices for show and tell
  • Sharing some wisdom learned over the years/caches
  • Offer to buddy up with a new cacher to visit some of the local caches in/near Rundle Park
