This cache was born due to a wrong possible turn. We were attempting another cache (for the second time) and believe that we took a wrong turn. This "wrong turn" was ok for us. (3rd time will be the charm... we swear!!) We love to hike. When we started to believe that we were going on the wrong path... we just kept going. The trees opened right up and gave us such an amazing view. You look one way, mountains!! You look another way, ocean!! Perfect scenic view.
The hike to here is up and up and up some more. Bring plenty of water. You will be under tree cover for most of this hike, which helps. There were orange ties that we followed up and up and up.
I won't put hours on this cache. We are avid night cachers.. especially if they are on trails!! You can enter through the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park entrance, but that gate closes before 5pm everyday and closed on Sundays(to my knowledge). So please respect the hours of the cemetery... But with that said, I am sure there are other ways to this trail.
This container is the same as the one that we have at "I Shine For You". Our two boys try not to waste. We "upcycle" or recycle a lot in our household. This container used to hold Legos. Both our boys wanted to make geo containers out of them. Viola! Took us a while to get this one out... oops.
