Geocache Description:

Puzzle, caches and placement: CJ-Curry
Thanks to 2y'stassies for pointing out an error, and to skullracing for replacing a waypoint!

The given coordinates are false.

This is a four-stage cache spread out around the north-east suburbs of Melbourne. At each of the first three waypoints, there is a 200mL sistema containing clues to the next step, and at the final point lies the final cache with the usual swaps, log and an unactivated mini geocoin for the FTF.

Each of the sets of clues has been enciphered, and the ciphers get harder as you go along. It is sufficient for you to use pen and paper to decipher everything, however as the clues get harder it's probably better to use a codebreaking app or a computer. (There are plenty out there!)

This cache has been rated 2.5 for terrain as this is the hardest terrain rating you will encounter. Some bits and pieces will be easier.

The cache covers a lot of ground. If you drive, this cache will take up at least a couple of hours (codebreaking time notwithstanding). If you take public transport, add an hour or two. If you bike, it could take all day. If you walk... don't count on being home for breakfast.

I recommend taking a photo of the clues at each stage, taking the photos home and solving them from there (though, as I said, a pen and paper are sufficient to solve every code).

Finally, a note on reasoning. I have placed each clue and the final cache in spots that are special to me in some way. The first location is a beautiful park within easy access of where I lived when I first moved to Melbourne; the second is a park where I have spent a lot of time with friends; the third is a very forgotten spot that needs some cache-love; and the fourth is a combination of all three, with a gorgeous city view within cooee (particularly deep at night).

With all that in mind, here are the initial coordinates:

Note: in my absence, my caches are being maintained by Archie B1 & B2 and SanguineDragonflye. For puzzle hints or solution checks, feel free to contact me directly.
