51-001 Traditional Cache

This is my first attempt at hiding a cache, so feedback will be welcome. It has been placed close to home so I can conduct regular checks on it.

This is the first cache of a short series that will be placed on or close to National Cycle Route 51 between Milton Keynes and Oxford. The caches will be of varying sizes and shapes. National Cycle Route 51 is an English long distance cycle route running broadly east-west connecting Colchester and the port of Harwich to Oxford via Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.  This cache is on or very close to a road junction on the route. You should be looking close to the finger signs. The other caches will be placed out over the next few months and may not be in number order along the route. If the series is popular it may be extended.

This disguised micro is hidden in full view. There is no room for a pencil or anything else apart from the log. It is on the edge of private property. The property owner has given permission for this cache as long as people do not go onto their property at any time (you may need to put a foot or two in, this is ok, but there is no need to walk down their driveway or on the garden). Please do not ask the property owner for help, they will not do this and it may mean that the cache will have to be removed.
