Cuckoo Coombe Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is a set of three caches (Rock Face Coombe, Needle Coombes and Cuckoo Coombe) placed on a trail from Coombe to Otter Bridge in Tehidy Woods Country Park. Kind permission to lay all three caches has been given by Cornwall County Council.
This is a quiet but clearly visible trail that runs parallel with the main trail from Otter Bridge to Coombe. For those who don’t mind a steep climb the trail can be accessed by parking at Coombe following the path into the woods until you come to the first bench. The trail is immediately on your left up the steep bank.
For those who would rather not ascend the bank the trail can be assesses by parking at Coombe following the path into the woods until you come to the 3 way sign post near Otter Bridge that states “West Drive Coombe ¾ Mile”. The trail is diagonally on your left up a small gradient between “West Drive Coombe ¾ Mile” and “North Cliffs”
Be aware this trail can be very slippery when wet as there are many exposed tree roots along the trail. The trail is dog and child friendly.
Refreshments are available from the tea rooms near Coombe parking.
To complete all three caches you will need a pair of tweezers and a pen.
All containers are camouflaged into the natural environment. Please replace as found. We hope you have as much fun finding these caches as we had placing them. Happy Geocashing.
