The Ruins Traditional Cache

The cache is located in a short but steep sided barranco, the barranco contains the remains of a number of derelict industrial buildings.
The area from the parking spot to the entrance of the barranco is covered with loose rocks, unstable earth and is crisscrossed by dry river beds. For this reason the best way to get to the entrance to the barranco is to walk along the road and continue along the lip of the barranco until you feel comfortable climbing down into the gorge.
In the gorge the terrain underfoot is fine but be careful when walking amongst the derelict buildings.
As with all walking in Fuerteventura, because of the rocky terrain, ALWAYS look where you place your feet, if you wish to admire the scenery, stop walking and plant your feet securely.
Please ensure that the cache is replaced exactly where it was found, the lid is secured and covered with the rocks.
