This geocache site can easily be reached from the tarmac road that runs directly from Tabuk to Al Ula, more or less following the old Hejaz railway. It is still necessary to have 4WD vehicle to get close to the site as the track is a bit rough with a soft sand area where it crosses a small wadi area.
The rock drawings and inscriptions are all over this rocky outcrop so I imagine it has been a popular place to stop on journeys over the centuries. I showed a photograph of a panel of script to an Arabic speaker but they said they could only read names as although the language used Arabic letters the words were unknown to them. I would love to know if this is a language older than modern Arabic or another language still in use today but written using the Arabic script.
