Innan år 1543 så var Saritslöv en egen liten by fristående från Skurup. Men så kunde man inte ha det längre tyckte man och Saritslöv förenades med Skurup. Skurups kyrka blev befolkningens nya kyrka och Saritslövs kyrka som fanns på platsen som cachen är placerad på lät man helt enkelt förfalla. Anledningen var att kyrkan var dåligt skött och socknen var liten. Projektet att låta kyrkan förfalla lyckades då det idag endast finns en tillstymmelse till en kyrkogrund kvar på platsen. Mystiken finns dock kvar, från platsen har man en trevlig utsikt över det skånska slättlandskapet och det har även i modern tid hänt att man har gift sig på den heliga marken samt haft utomhusgudtjänster, eller varför inte en anspråkslös picknick?

Before the year 1543 Saritslöv was its own village independent from Skurup. But that was not appropriate anymore so Saritslöv was united with Skurup. The church of Skurup became the peoples new church and the church of Saritslöv, that was located on the place where this cache is, was left to decay. The reason for this is that the church was in a poor condition and the parish was small. The project to let the church fall into decay was apparently a success because right now there is nothing more than a stone foundation left at the spot. The mysticism is still present however, from the location you have a very nice view over the Scanian plains and the still holy grounds has even in modern times been a place for marriage, and also out-door services has been exercised. Or why not have an humble picknick?
