Geocache Description:

It's a beautiful Sunday and the perfect afternoon for a lazy stroll around the neighborhood. This cache is located on one of those locations we walk or drive past every day, but never took the time to look at closely.

Queen Esther's Rock is one of the more violent places of interest around the valley.

According to the Historical Sociey:

Located along Susquehanna Avenue near Seventh Street in Wyoming is one of the most interesting artifacts of the Battle of Wyoming – Queen Esther’s Rock. Named for Queen Esther Montour, the descendant of several "mixed" marriages between white settlers and Indians, this large rock marks the spot where, allegedly, following the Battle of Wyoming, Queen Esther, angered by the recent death of her son, lined 16 American colonists around a huge stone, ever since known as Bloody Rock, and personally smashed their skulls with her tomahawk.

The Cache itself is a micro, so bring your own pen. Letting you know that it's magnetic doesnt give away too much in this one, considering the amount of metal objects around here. But, little hands would help the reach.

Enjoy!
