01: Shotley Gate
Looking for a small tube
This part of the S&E Border Caches are placed on the beautiful Shotley Peninsular, with the beautiful villages of Woolverstone, Chelmondiston, Freston, Harkstead, Edwarton, Shotley and Shotley Gate. Based between the River Orwell and River Stour we can thoroughly recommend visitng the area.
This series will exceed 100 plus varied caches along each side of the Essex and Suffolk border! Jap and VonKeiller who both wanted a series of caches to celebrate their homeland and were inspired to do this series by the Halo Series along the Saints Route in Cornwall! Jap was born and bred in Suffolk and now lives in Colchester and VonKeiller hails from Tiptree. We both love Essex and Suffolk and this series reflect our love for the area. Now head up the hill to Caledonia Road and head towards the once great HMS Ganges, now a forlorn sight!
