I stole most of the posting information below from the last wing-it event there in 2009. 
Located on an Island in the Connecticut River, Selden Neck is a Ct. State Park is accessible by watercraft only. The Island is located in Lyme and is on the East side of the River, opposite Deep River and Chester. The Island is 600 acres and it does have a trail system. Trails are accessible from the Event Site.
The water trek around the island is approximately 5 miles and well worth the trip with lots or flora and fauna to observe. There are some nice areas for swimming, with sandy bottoms but there are rocky and muddy areas too. We will be picnicking at Spring Ledge at the listed event coordinates at 11:00 a.m. so plan your caching wisely
Parking and launching are up for grabs. We have been using the public launch at Deep River Landing (N41*23.725/ W072*25.594) which is free for launching, not parking. There may be a $10.00 parking fee. (we have not seen anyone there to collect the money) and have been told, parking is free outside the boat launch at the train station, which other cachers seem to use all the time.
There is also car top launching up river at the Hadlime Ferry on the East side of the river. I have been told by LargeFry-CT that Deep River will be holding a Muster on Main St. and he recommended two alternate parking sites. GC19EYJ, A "Ferry" small cache at the west ferry dock and GC15BM9, Kayak/Canoe Launch- Pratt Cove Preserve.
All food and drinks will have to be transported to the Island by boat. Grilling space is limited and surely would be time consuming. We would recommend grinders and cold dishes. The options are yours. Please be careful when making the river crossing, the large fast boats leave quite a wake. If folks want to share kayaks, may be best to post in the logs if folks have room or extra water vehicles. Looking forward to a fun day! Bring bug spray...lots of bugs in the summer.
