Geocache Description:

A kid friendly cache (KFC) - a small lock and lock container in the Dwaaskill Nature Preserve in Clifton Park. Please bring your own pen!

Named for the stream running through it, The Dwaaskill Nature Preserve is a lovely natural area in Clifton Park. There are a few caches over on the eastern part of the trails, but this cache will bring you to the western side of the preserve. This side of the preserve is still under much development. Town maps show that this side has plans for more future trails and even another parking area.

Enjoy this quiet area of the preserve and check out all the work that the beavers have been up to back in here! I wonder how long it has taken them to do all the work they have already done. Maybe you be lucky and see a beaver hard at work while you are out caching.

There is room for one car to park on the side of the road - please make sure you pull off Kinns Rd completely. Otherwise, park on nearby Nadler Rd and walk over.

Please note - the preserve has strict hours of 5 am - 10 pm, please do not hunt this cache outside of these hours. Due to the stream nearby, I also would not recommend doing this one in the dark. Better safe than sorry!
