A micro in the usual place, within view of the Great Seal Mountain Range near a park-like area at the hospital.
Throughout history, nature has been considered almost equal to oxygen as a vital requirement for health and healing. Here, you will find a natural space created and designed to provide a peaceful respite. Like oxygen, a good dose of nature can breathe new vitality into your body, mind, and spirit. “Nature is my medicine.” ~Sara Moss-Wolfe.
Depending on the weather, you can bring a good friend, cup of coffee, snack, good book, camera, binoculars, iPhone, or pedometer and walk around the pond, take a breather on a bench, or sit at a table on the fountainside patio.
Inside the glass-enclosed lobby of the building closest to the cache is a surprising sculpture made from truck parts by local artists with disabilities. Art is another proven healing agent as an antidote to ailments and a path to productivity and peace, whether looking at it or creating your own.
And Humor. What if we forgot to laugh!? Humor has long been considered an important part of healing. So keep that oxygen flowing with some good belly laughs! Here are some one-liners you might like:
