This is a driving multi-cache. You will be looking for 8 dog tags and a container, placed at the final location. Be sure to display your Utah State Parks day-use permit or annual park pass. When retrieving the cache at the final destination, please park at Huber Grove, then walk across the street at the crosswalk to the final coordinates to find the cache. The coordinates for the cache are on the tag at stage 8. The tags & cache may be snow-covered and difficult to retrieve during winter.
Wasatch Mountain State Park Year-round adventure awaits - golf, hike, bike, camp, horseback ride, snowmobile, cross-country ski, and snowshoe at Wasatch Mountain. During warmer months, reserve a tee time at the popular Lake and Mountain golf courses. In winter, ski or snowmobile through the alpine terrain. Please do not leave trade items in the cache (travel bugs are okay). Just take a small souvenir and sign the log book. This cache will take you to some great areas of the park. You will be looking for 8 coordinate dog tags and the Final Container. The coordinate tags you are looking for are silver OR green dog tags with the information written on them. To get to the various stages of this cache, driving is recommended. The cache may be snow-covered and difficult to retrieve during winter. Parking is available at or near each stage, please do not park along the road. Day-Use Fees Remain In Effect Year Round. Non- Senior – $10/car up to 8 people Senior (65+) – $5/car up to 8 people If need to pay by credit card please visit parkspass.utah.gov and select Wasatch Mountain State Park. Or stop at the visitor center to pay the fee Please make sure to display a valid day-use permit or Annual Park Pass. This cache does include a bit of hiking at points, so be sure to bring water/snacks, and don't forget your camera! This cache has elements that will be greatly effected by seasonal change so please take the following into consideration: Summer: Beware of plants such as thistle and stinging nettle that will be growing in places, long pants are recommended. Beware of animals/insects that call this park home. Winter: Snow conditions make make roads hazardous, use caution. During times of deep snow, snowshoes will be of great benefit. Wasatch Mountain offers them for rent at the visitor center for $6 per adult pair, $3 per youth pair. Spring: Muddy conditions may be present, we ask when trails are muddy please stay off of them, as this creates excessive damage. For all caches placed by Wasatch Mountain State Park, they are near trails or in areas that require minimal trailblazing. Also, no cache elements are placed on the golf courses, please stay off of the courses. Please Note This is a no-trading cache (travel bugs are okay).
