While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

Skjerva 2

 Cache nr 2 langs elva Skjerva lagt ut av Askeladdene

Skjerva (lokalt uttalt Skjervo) er en elv som har sitt utløp i Reinfjellet, sør for Mosjøen i Nordland.
Den starter fra bl.a. Skjervvatnet. Det er sammen med flere vatn oppdemmet for å gi vann til Mosjøen og aluminiumsverket der. I tillegg er selve elva oppdemmet.
Skjerva renner gjennom Austerbygda før den møter fjorden ved Bordvedneset i Mosjøen sentrum.
Skjerva har gitt navn til Skjervengan, Skjervstad og Skjervgata.
På sin ferd krysses elva av 15 broer.  Denne cache er plassert ved den 5. nederste, som går mellom Dolstad og byflata.  Går greit å parkere på begge steder og gå frem til cachen.  Broa er en bro for fotgjengere, syklister og nødvendig kjøring for gravfølge mellom kirka på Dolstad og gravplassen på andre siden av elva.
(Vi har ikke gått langs elva og kan dermed ikke gå god for antallet broer, men det er hva Google-søk fortalte oss)

Skjerva (locally pronounced Skjervo) is a river that has its outlet in Reinsfjellet, south of Mosjøen in Nordland. It starts from Skjervvatnet lake. It is compared with several lakes dammed to provide water for Mosjøen and aluminum plant there. In addition, the river is dammed. Skjerva runs through Austerbygd village before it meets the fjord at Bordvedneset in Mosjøen center. Skjerva have named Skjervengan , Skjervstad and Skjervgata .

On its way the river is crossed by 15 bridges. This cache is located at the 5. bottom, which runs between Dolstad and the city center. It’s okay to park at both places and go to the cache. The bridge is for pedestrians, cyclists and funeral processions from the church to the graveyard.

(We have not walked along the river and can not vouch for the number of bridges, but that's what Google search told us)
