Here, There And There (MITH) Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: Hello,

I see that your cache has been “under the weather” for a period of time in excess of the period of “a few weeks” as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever. If you do not wish to replace it, then please archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you reactivate the cache within a month, then no further action will be taken at this time. However, if a month passes with no response, then I’ll assume that this listing is effectively abandoned and that I should archive it.

Please do not send an email with your response — it’s important that you post the information on your cache page!

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation,

Geocache Description:

McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH)

The McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH) series is a geo-training playground for new geocachers with a variety of cache types and difficulty levels. Caches are safe, family-friendly, and some are wheelchair accessible. All caches promote the highest standards of geocaching etiquette by encouraging cachers to practice low impact caching, respect other park users, and trade responsibly.

Most of all, they are meant to be fun!

This is a short 2 stage, wheelchair accessible multi.  Please replace Stage 1 exactly as was found in the same spot.  This is to insure cachers with mobility issues can easily find and replace the containers.  Thanks.

As part of the MITH Series of caches on Mac Island, wheel chair accessibility was a must.  We want to provide those in a wheelchair or those with mobility issues, the success of and fun of making that first geocache find.

Due to the dense tree cover, I used two gps units to take multiple readings and had trouble getting a real accurate reading.  Stage one coords get you to this picture, you are Here.  Your coordinates for Stage 2 are Here and these coords will take you There.  There is less than 75 feet away.

The two little figurines in the picture are guiding you.

This is a small container with only a log sheet and no writing tool, so please bring your own pen or pencil.

Enjoy!

This project is proudly supported by the City of Kamloops.
