Geocache Description:

- Please put it back exactly as I have placed it, no easier or harder....thanks.
- Happy Caching and tanks for stopping by.
- Please be aware that Allegany State Park, (ASP), charges an admission fee from Memorial Day till Labor Day.

The M48 Patton is a medium tank and was the third and final tank to be officially named after General George S. Patton, commander of the U.S. Third Army during World War II. It was used in the U.S. from Feb. 1963 to the 1990's.
It took a lot of goodwill to make this happen and I was surprised to find one retired and no longer being used, special thanks to the ASP for approval of this one.
