Geocache Description:

It was a beautiful day and after finding a nearby cache, I decided to head further down the trail and possibly hide one myself.  On my way, I passed a cool sand pit area and after coming to an intersection, found a perfect hiding place.  You are looking for a 2 quart plastic jar with a blue lid.  I've started the cache off with a bit of swag including a lizard, a rubber duck, some army men, a cupcake eraser, a whale, a butterfly bracelet, a bead necklace, a water ball, a pencil, and a sticky ring game.  There is also a trophy for the First to Find!  Please be sure to hide it as found so that the lid is not exposed.  Look out for sharp edges! The cache is pretty much right off a trail.  With that being said, there are many trails that run through this area, so consider printing out maps.  Be careful as ticks are definitely out!  I flicked at least 10 off me while in the area.  The cache is located on DEC land and a FREE access permit is required.  This link will help you obtain a permit and you can also look up trail maps for this area and many more: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7815.html
Happy caching!

***Update 3/21/21 ~ You're now looking for a small camo'd snapware container, hidden in the same location as the original cache.  Again, PLEASE be aware of sharp edges, and MAKE SURE you re-hide the cache very well when you are finished!
Happy caching!
