Trinity valley was named in the early 1890's, by a settler Mr, James A christie who lived at the foot of Mable Lake. Why he named it Trinity, I dont know. V.L.E. miller, was the first settler to make his home in trinity valley, He moved from his homestead at Shuswap falls to Trinity valley in the year 1892, because in his opinion it was getting too crowded after a bridge was built across the river, at the falls. His homestead in trinity Vally consisted of 1000 acres. He constructed a large house and several other buildings, so many in fact , it was nicknamed Millertown. He lived a batchelor all his life. With a chinese cook to care for him. Before coming to Canada He became a lawyer in England. This gave V.L.E. Miller the qualifications to become magistrate in Lumby. Trinity Vally post Office was established Dec 1, 1909. Mr Conn Was the postmaster, and stage coach driver. He would deliver the mail to Miller's homestead and pick the mail up as well. Along with any supplies that had been ordered from Vernon.
