This is our very first hide! We are hiding it in honor of our 1 year anniversary of caching! We are also coordinating this hide with Earth Day by making the cache a CITO cache. We have included trash bags and rubber gloves in the cache so that willing cachers may pick up trash on their way back to their vehicles (or anywhere they choose!) This cache is hidden not too far off of a lesser known walking trail owned by the city of Mishawaka. Watch out for poison ivy!!!!!!!
These woods are significant to us because we both used to play in these woods when we were growing up and everything was a bit more "wild!" Snowey's "grandpa" even played in these woods when he was young!! Conservation is also very important to us, so we are hoping that other cachers join in our CITO spirit! We believe that parking is available along the side streets nearby the cache. However, to be more "incognito," and to enjoy a beautiful walk through an urban wood, we suggest parking in the lot at the listed coordinates. It is only a 5 minute or less walk to the cache. While you're in the area, there are a couple of other nearby caches to seek! You are looking for a medium sized container containing a log, trash bags, gloves, and plenty of swag. Please be aware of muggles along the walking path and in the nearby neighborhood, and please hide cache as well or better than you found it! Happy caching!!
