A series of caches hidden to celebrate the locations of Scout Groups that have existed in Keirawarra (Scout) District (Helensburgh to Mount Kembla). It is 90 years this year (2013) since the opening of the first Scout Groups in the Wollongong Districts.
2nd Wollongong Scout Group Headquarters - Salvation Army Hall, 76 Campbell Street Wollongong.
This Scout Group was sponsored and ran by the Salvation Army. This was a fairly common occurrence in Scouting days gone by. These days, not only is the Scout Group gone, but the Hall no longer belongs to the Salvos. It was sold to Smith's Hill High School just before Hoojar started attending School here in the 1990s. This location was known as 'The Citadel.' It was quite exciting in researching this series to discover that I had spent my High School years in an historical significant Scouting location!
