This series of 7 caches is for all the Harry Potter fans out there; who like us, are a bit sad that it’s now all over.
It doesn’t matter if you are not a Harry Potter fan, as all the puzzles can be completed without any in-depth knowledge. Most puzzles should be solvable by young fans – with the exception of #7 which will need a bit of maths knowledge.
Once solved, the caches make a circular walk of about 3 miles, and 2 church micros can be picked up on the way round. Parts of the walk can be muddy (especially between 5 and 6). Bring a pen and tweezers.
Harry Potter #3 Prisoner of Azkaban
In The Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry is being hunted by escaped convict Sirius Black; so he has to use the Marauders Map to show him the secret passages out of the castle.
There is a secret passage under the Whomping Willow which leads to the Shrieking Shack and this is where Harry, Ron and Hermione discover that Ron’s rat Scabbers is really Peter Pettigrew.
Use the Marauders Map to find the location of the Shrieking Shack.
