Geocache Description:

A camo micro container crafted from the wood of the 'leaning giant'. Located on Princes Incline near to the final resting place of something that used to be a lot, lot bigger...

Here lies the stump of the 'Leaning giant'

Blown down by the wind on the 18th april 2013 this iconic tree towered above the incline and was considered one of the main features of the path. The tree was also home to my cache 'Princes Incline: The Leaning Giant' Link (now archived)

The leaning giant used to tower above the incline

The tree was located on Princes Incline which was once used to transport coal to the canal, where it would then be carried by barges to Macclesfield, to power the mills.

I hope everyone enjoys the cache and admires the resting place of, what once was, a truly iconic tree.

After it fell

What's 'PPHC'?

'PPHC' stands for Piranha Phill's home cache as the cache is located less than 200m from our front door.

Congratulations to Dibbydede for FTF
