Old River Runner: Time to let this one go. It keeps disappearing. I may come up with a new hide in this area some day, or maybe someone else will. -- ORR

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a revival of the series of caches originally hidden by golfnutz, one of Clarksville’s geocaching pioneers, along the Spadra Creek Nature Trail. This trail is a nice walking/biking/jogging trail that makes a 2.6-mile complete loop that is easiest if walked in a clockwise direction. It is paved on the west side of the creek, but unpaved and fairly rough on the east side.

This cache is located in an area that did not have any trails when golfnutz placed his cache series. Since that time, however, several bike trails have been established and provide an excellent route to get close to this cache. This is a simple hide and will be a quick find, even for the most novice cacher. Just enjoy the peacefulness of this area while you are here. But it would be best not to do this one midday on a hot summer’s day!

Please try to replace the cache in the same manner in which you found it so the next cacher will have the same challenge. I also ask that you be careful in logging this find so your comments will not give clues to future cachers.

The closest parking for this one is at the junction of Maple Street and Grandview Ave. (see Parking waypoint for coordinates). If you park here, you will have a steep but short descent to reach the level where the cache is hidden. If you park elsewhere, you will have a much more level walk to the cache, but it will be longer.

Should this cache need attention or if you have any suggestions for improving this cache please send me an email. And remember, your log is my only reward for placing caches. The more you write the better I like it!

This cache is located on city property & placed with permission of the Clarksville City Parks Department.
