Which way to Mainz-Laubenheim? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

12Vicky: With great regret this cache will be archived today.

Thanks for all logs! I hope that beside some irritating moments to get the coords it was fun to find this cache. Or the related one.

Or even both of them!

Happy caching further on!

Geocache Description:

(Unfortunately) the idea to this cache is not our own idea, but we think it's a good one! That's why we want to pick it up.

To answer the question above you will need a partner. This cache is a very special one, a twinning cache and between stage 1 and the information for your final coords are a mere 1.641 km.

To make things easier and to answer the initial question there are two caches which somehow form a unit.

Sounds more difficult than it really is. To overcome the distance between both caches just look out for someone who might help you to go for the cache. One of you over here and another one over there – that's the most straightforward way. Of course it could also be done on your own … but don't underestimate the distance!

Ideally you will find your twinning partner in Mainz-Laubenheim and the search is on.

Your partner will provide you with the final coords for your twinningcache while he is eagerly waiting for his final coords which you will detect at the listed coords.

Here is your first task:

The listed coords are in front of the entrance to a Public Garden and playground. Here you will find a lot of signs attached to the fence. One of them states what is not allowed in the garden. These four lines will reveal the final coords for your partners cache.

The container will be at N 49°58.ABC E 008°19.DEF

A: 2/3

B: (1/2) - (3/2)

C: 1/3

D: (3/9) - (4/5)

E: 4/3

F: 2/5

Second task:

Exchanged your final coords and head for the container!

Once at GZ trust your eyes. The spot is clearly marked! To make things easier feel free to use the spoiler pic.

And yes. One last thing …. it should be clear that everyone can be partner only once.

Just as an information – once the site of stage 1has been a station of the Malta Railway. Thus the name of the Garden, Ġnien L-Istazzjon. The former track is marked by the pattern of the tiles.

If you like to follow the railway till the next station on its way to Valletta head to N35° 53.629 E14° 26.790. Here you will find the remains of a little bridge as well as those of the embankment. Walk along this embankment and follow Triq il-Linja and you will end up at the railway station in Birkirkara.

Good luck or "Viel Erfolg!"
