Geocache Description:

This cache is at the Olmsted Locks and Dam overlook which is open to the public Monday thru Friday from dawn to dusk. It has been placed with the permission of the US Army Corps of Engineers Resident Office. The cache is just large enough for a few very small trade items and there is an Olmsted coin for a first to find prize. BYOP

While you are here, check out the construction activities going on for the Olmsted dam. Summer and fall are the busy seasons for construction. If you're lucky, you might see the Catamaran Barge moving one of the approximately 2,000 ton precast shells out in the river.
