A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse. This is a part of the World Wide Flash Mob X occurring simultaneously around the globe organized by Team PodCacher. For more information you may want to visit the website:

We will have two events on May 4th in downtown Banning. The Banning Centennial Art Hop Meet & Greet, GC495M6, at 9:00am to 10:00am and the Flash Mob at 2:15pm. Come out have some coffee and rolls and meet some of the local cachers at 9:00am. Then spend the day Geocaching in the area where there will be lots of new caches to find, maybe even get a FTF or two. Active-Fire will have two firetrucks giving rides to the public as part of the actives going on in town that day from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Then at 2:00 start to gather around the firetruck pick-up area with your squirt gun, water balloons, or whatever water source you would like to use in the Flash Mob Water Fight

New coordinates have been provided for the Firetruck rides so I have updated the coordinates for the Flash Mob. Even if there is a last minute change just look for the RED firetrucks. The rides end at 2:00 and the water fight will start at 2:15 with the blowing of the firetruck siren and bell and end at 2:20.

It will not be required to get wet to log the event but if the temperatures are in the normal range it may feel good to cool down before continuing with your Geocaching fun. Please remember this is a kid friendly event. No rough housing or fire hoses will be allowed.
