Das Kastelruther Dorf Tisens, italienisch Tisana, befindet sich am Sonnenhang westlich des Hauptortes und zählt rund 150 Einwohner. Tisens liegt auf ca. 930 m Meereshöhe. Die Kirche in der Ortsmitte ist dem Hl. Nikolaus geweiht. Eine Besonderheit ist die himmelblaue Decke im Kirchenschiff. An der Außenmauer befindet sich ein großes Fresko des Heiligen Christopherus.
Für Wanderfreunde bietet Tisens Spaziergänge nach Kastelruth oder zum Radlmoos, sowie Wanderungen zur Trostburg bei Waidbruck und nach Tagusens (Weg Nr. 1). Dank seiner sonnigen und ruhigen Lage unweit vom Hauptort gilt Tisens als kleiner Geheimtipp.

Il paesino di Tisana, o Tisens, in tedesco, si trova sul versante soleggiato della valle che da Castelrotto scende verso la Val d’Isarco. Questa località conta circa 150 abitanti e si trova a 930 m di altitudine. La chiesa del paese è dedicata a San Nicolò. Tra le sue particolarità, degni di nota sono il soffitto azzurro della navata ed il grande affresco sul muro esterno che raffigura San Cristoforo.
Per gli amici della natura, Tisana offre percorsi a piedi verso Castelrotto, Radlmoos, Ponte Gardena e Castel Forte. Il sentiero nr. 1 porta fino a Tagusa. Tisana è un luogo adatto a chi cerca la tranquillità, ed è comunque molto vicina al capoluogo Castelrotto, dove si trovano ristoranti e negozi.
The village of Tisana, in German called Tisens, lies on the sunny slopes in the west of the main village and has got some 150 inhabitants. Tisana is located at 930 m asl, the church at its centre is consecrated to S. Nicolò. Worth noticing is above all the sky-blue ceiling in the nave. On the external walls, there is a huge fresco illustrating S. Cristoforo.
For those who love hiking, Isana offers a wide variety of hikes to Castelrotto to Radlmoss, as well as path leading to the Trostburg castle at Ponte Gardena as well as to Tagusa (path n° 1). To make a long story short, Tisana is kind of a holiday insider’s tip, not only due to its tranquil location.
