Geocache Description:

There was a cache here a while back and now that they've restored the Old Spring, we decided this spot needed a cache again. Placed for ASP GeoBash VIII.

Built in 1929, this spring was a popular stop along the scenic highway now known as ASP#1. It was closed and abandoned in the 70's and neglected until the Allegany Historical Society did renovations in 2012 as part of the "I Love My Park Day" activities.

Please note: The cache is located within Allegany State Park. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day there is a vehicle use permit fee to enter the park.
