Welcome to higher altitudes. Enjoy the beautiful town of Vathy and make sure to walk around exploring the different lookout points.
Welcome to Ano Vathy, the old part of the town Vathy, more commly known as Samos.
Vathy is the capital of the Greek island Samos since 1830 and Ano Vathy is one of the older parts of the town, located at an higher altitude.
Vathy is located in a bay making it the perfect harbor town. During peak tourist seasons daily boat trips can be made to its sister town of Kusadasi in Turkey.
This cache is located further up in the mountain making it a delightful treck from Samos town. Marvel in the old houses that are painted in several different colours and not only the traditinal greek blue.
This cache is maintained by semilocals but please inform us if the cache needs maintenance.
Cache originally contains a logbook and pencil.
