Geocache Description:

A more difficult cache than would be expected given this open coastal location.

Bay Search and Rescue HQ is situated close by. You may be lucky enough to see some of their specialist vehicles and equipment which enables them to go out onto the sands and saltmarshes at low tide. They also specialise in quicksand/mud rescue which perhaps indicates that ordinary mortals should avoid the sands, channels and marshes around the Morecambe Bay. They have a charity shop in Grange (opening May 2013) where you can spend your dosh on some bargains and find out more information about the Team.

You can park by crossing the cattle grid and going over the sea wall (provided it isn't a very high tide), or park in the laybye outside BaySAR HQ (take care this is a busy road at times)

The cache is adjacent to the Cumbria Coastal Footpath.

The container is a medium sized L&L box ready for your TBs and will be checked weekly so we can move bugs on quickly.

You'll need an accurate gps for this cache as the clue is pretty vague unless you are standing in the right spot.

Happy searching
