Jubilee Lake 2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

grumpy badger: I went to the lake to check this one out today, and found that it was missing yet again. As I am fed up with keep replacing it I am now going to archive it. I may place some more caches in the area in the future, but in the meantime thank you to all who left the good comments it received.

Geocache Description:

An introduction to one of the beauty spots around Royal Wootton Bassett.  Please be aware that the tree cover may upset the GPS signal. This cache is very close to a stream, so be careful with kids.

Jubilee Lake was named for the Queen's Silver Jubilee, after suggestions from the towns school children.  Stealth is needed as it is popular with dog walkers and fishermen (probably fisherwomen, too, although I've not seen any).  There is a nature trail around the Lake, and there is also a childrens play area above it.  Toilets are by the Sea Cadet hut near the play area.

The paths around the lake are good, although if you stray off them it may be muddy in places, especially after rain.  Wheelchair users can get to within about 3 or 4m. of the cache, but would need a companion to actually retrieve it. There are seats and some picnic tables dotted around the area.
I hope you enjoy the cache, and have an enjoyable time at the lake.

Cache placed with the permission of the Town Clerk, Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council. Congratulations to Toadpink for the FTF!
