This site has been mined for coal and clay. It is now part of a landscape being changed by the National Forest. The site is open to all and can be easily found off the Conkers circuit.
There are path ways and viewpoints to enjoy with birds, insects and other animals living in the area.
The Rabbit fence as now been removed as grazing animals sould not effect the trees.
Please be careful as you explore the site. The ground may be wet and Brambles and thorn bushes grow in the area. Try not to cause disturbance to wildlife or its habitat.
