This is one of a series of caches along the Mokelumne Trail in Brentwood CA. You can learn more about the Mokelumne Crest-To-Coast Trail at http://mc2ct.org.
The Mokelumne Crest-To-Coast Trail is currently very discontinuous as it crosses the state. One of the lesser interruptions to the trail (as well as to nearby Grant Ave.) is the Union Pacific railroad line. However, as you travel westward, it can be overcome by switching to a side trail and crossing a bridge over the canal, then stepping over the tracks. Hopefully a level crossing will be built here someday.
You are looking for a rather small cache, with room for a log and a few very small items. BYOP.
