This is one of a series of caches along the Mokelumne Trail in Brentwood CA. You can learn more about the Mokelumne Crest-To-Coast Trail at http://mc2ct.org.
Dog owners using the trail are expected to grab a bag from the station on this corner and pick up after their pets. Although they often do so, there are some folks who leave a trail of full bags on the asphalt in their wake, instead of depositing them in the trash. Sad behavior.
