Geocache Description:

Since this spot along the trail is a ways from formal restrooms, you might think this cache is named for those portable facilities. Not so. I’m referring to those wonderful satellite’s we all rely on to get us from one cache to another. For some reason, this spot proved challenging to zero in on good coordinates. I shot plenty and finally agreed on those listed. With the hint, even if the arrow on your GPS is flying around, you should be able to secure the goods. Small cache here only about 10 feet from the main trail. Some interesting wetlands near by – keep an eye out for wildlife.

Daily or yearly park sticker required. Park hours are 6am-11pm. During cross-country ski season, please keep off the groomed trails. There is hunting allowed in parts of the park during the 9-day deer season at the end of November and a few days in the spring during turkey hunting. Just be aware of your surroundings. Have fun!

About Interstate State Park Interstate is Wisconsin's oldest state park, established in 1900. Located along the picturesque St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, the park provides scenic views of the river and the steep-sided gorge known as the Dalles of the St. Croix. The Ice Age Interpretive Center features a film, photographs, murals, and information about the great glaciers. There are over 9 miles of hiking trails in the park, many which take you through scenic State Natural Areas. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the park manager at Interstate State Park. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at the Wisconsin DNR website.
